Seeking a higher level of care is the right step.
Bell Health offers psychiatric medication management and considers medication a valuable tool for optimizing mental health in many cases. We work collaboratively with each patient to determine the treatment approach that most effectively meets their goals, preferences, and needs for mental health and well-being. Medication management services can include prescribing and deprescribing medication, depending on the patient’s goals for their care.
Bell Health treats a wide range of psychiatric conditions. We are currently accepting patients ages 18 and older, though we are planning to accept pediatric patients in the future. Common presenting concerns include depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, obsessive-compulsive disorder, and post-traumatic stress disorder.
Yes! We are in-network with Blue Cross Blue Shield, Aetna, Harvard Pilgrim, and Optum (United Healthcare). If you are not covered by one of these plans, we can provide a superbill, which some patients may use to claim out-of-network benefits.
Visit our Out of Network Benefits page for more information on this process. Please note that we are unable to accept Medicaid or Medicare plans at this time.
At your first visit, your provider will take time to get to know you as a person. You will discuss your current concerns, strengths, goals, and preferences for care, as well as your relevant psychiatric and medical history. The visit typically lasts about 60 minutes and is conducted via secure video telehealth. Your provider may ask detailed questions about your symptoms, daily functioning, sleep, stressors, past treatments, and any medications you have tried.
Together, you and your provider will collaboratively develop an individualized treatment plan. This may include discussion of medication options, therapy recommendations, lifestyle supports, or referrals when appropriate. The risks and benefits of any treatment options will be reviewed, and you will never be pressured to make decisions you’re not comfortable with. You’ll also have time to ask questions and discuss next steps, including follow-up visits. The goal of the first visit is understanding and planning, not having everything “figured out” right away.
We offer comprehensive psychiatric evaluation and diagnosis, medication management, psychotherapy, and skills coaching. Our services are telehealth virtual appointments only.
